Biography

With an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Professor Lee Young-Koo has been a trailblazer in the field of computer science, making significant contributions to academia and research. Currently serving as a Professor at Kyung Hee University (Global Campus), South Korea, since March 2015, Professor Lee Young-Koo has demonstrated unparalleled expertise and leadership in the academic realm.

Prior to assuming the role of Professor, Professor Lee Young-Koo served as an Associate Professor at Kyung Hee University (Global Campus) from March 2010 to February 2015, where their dedication to teaching and research earned them widespread recognition among peers and students alike. Before that, from March 2004 to February 2010, Professor Lee Young-Koo held the position of Assistant Professor at the same institution, laying the foundation for their esteemed career.

Professor Lee Young-Koo’s journey in academia began with a postdoctoral research position at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they honed their research skills and expanded their academic horizons from September 2002 to February 2004. Prior to this, they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Advanced Information Technology Research Center (AITrc), KAIST, South Korea, from March 2002 to February 2004, further enriching their research experience.

Professor Lee Young-Koo embarked on their academic pursuit with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the prestigious Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea, completing their doctoral studies from March 1994 to February 2002. Prior to obtaining their Ph.D., they earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from KAIST from March 1992 to February 1994, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same institution from March 1988 to February 1992.

Throughout their academic journey, Professor Lee Young-Koo has exemplified a commitment to excellence, innovation, and scholarly rigor, shaping the future of computer science through their groundbreaking research, mentorship, and academic leadership. Their contributions have left an indelible mark on the field and continue to inspire the next generation of scholars and researchers.
